Harold D. Jackson, MD, FCCP, is a highly skilled pulmonologist dedicated to providing comprehensive care for patients with pulmonary diseases. With a focus on conditions such as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), asthma, sarcoidosis, pulmonary fibrosis, and obstructive sleep apnea, Dr. Jackson is committed to improving the lives of his patients through expert diagnosis and treatment.
Dr. Jackson’s academic journey began with a Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-Medical Chemistry from Wofford College, where he was honored as a member of The Blue Key Society. He earned his Medical Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in pulmonary disease and critical care medicine at the Medical College of Georgia.
As a Board Certified physician in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Jackson is recognized for his clinical expertise and dedication to advancing the field of pulmonary health. His fellowship with the American College of Chest Physicians further underscores his commitment to excellence in patient care and professional development.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Jackson has made significant contributions to medical research as a Primary Investigator on multiple studies. He has presented numerous grand rounds on critical topics such as COPD, septic shock, pulmonary embolism, and asthma, sharing his knowledge with peers and enriching the medical community.
Dr. Jackson’s dedication extends beyond his practice. He has been recognized by FSP South Dekalb Community Development Inc. for his outstanding service as a physician caregiver, and he currently serves as the Director of Telemedicine on a 5G telecommunications platform in Sub-Saharan Africa, aiming to enhance healthcare access in underserved regions.
